What Happened at the First Creative Play Festival?

100+ Eindhoven locals and visitors of the city celebrated the beginning of summer 2024 with an 8-hour free creative blast in the Emmaus Eindhoven Garden.

OPEN-ENDED PLAY TIME


Visitors had 8 hours to experiment with sustainable creative supplies and materials, sourced at Emmaus Eindhoven, explore tools, and engage with various creative guided and open-ended activities and experiences.


People of all ages and walks of life created their own adventures in 4 upcycling play zones, hosted by community members and featured international artists based in Eindhoven:

Creative Play Day 2024, held in the Emmaus Eindhoven garden, exceeded all expectations, delivering an extraordinary celebration of creativity and community. The event brought together 100+ international participants of all ages, fostering connections through art, sustainability, and genuine human interaction.


The festival showcased 21 artists and mentors, blending emerging talents with industry leaders. For 8 hours, attendees enjoyed experiences filled with joy and creativity. The event highlighted the importance of mentorship, empowerment, and growth, underscoring its deeper purpose beyond entertainment.


The instant synergy between the production team of independent experts and enthusiasts paired with the organic collaboration and "playtime" between the festival visitors culminated in a magical experiencde that left the participants eager for more.


The Emmaus Eindhoven garden transformed into a vibrant playground, hosting a variety of creative endeavors simultaneously. The festival even sparked creative and romantic connections, adding to the day's enchantment.


Creative Play Day 2024 became a social hotspot for new creative collaborations, new artist discoveries, art sales, donations to meaningful causes, mentorship opportunities, testing of graduation projects, and many other magical interactions.

Creative Line-up: Featured Artists & Mentors

The first Creative Play festival featured 21 multidisciplinary artists, creators, and mentors with international expertise and recognition for their work in drawing, performance art, textile art, sustainable fashion, upcycled design, jewelry making, photography, sculpture, music, and many more.


The creative line-up included representatives from 12 countries, including Argentina, Belgium, Bulgaria, India, France, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Peru, Ukraine, and UK.
